LIoness after feeding on a wilderbeast

I traveled with friends and family on the Globus Splendors of South Africa and Victoria Falls tour and I must say it has been my most favorite vacation of all times.  Everyday during this tour I would wake up saying "I can't imagine how today will be better than yesterday" and it was.  The tour began in Cape Town with an fantastic guide and a beautiful hotel with a shuttle to Victoria and Albert Waterfront.  While in Cape Town we visited Table Mountain, went to see the penguins at Boulder Beach and went to the Cape of Good Hope just to name a few sites.

After our stay in Cape Town we flew to Kapama Game Reserve (part of Krueger National Park) and had three fantastic days of games drives, wonderful meals and I even participated in a bush walk with 2 guides and 7 other members of our group.  While on safari we got to see the big 5 as well as many other animals.  Our guide and tracker on safari were excellent.  They gave us lots of info and were great at tracking the animals.  We were a group of 22 friends and family and were in 3 separate safari vehicles and when one group would see something they would share it with the other guides and off we went to that location to see what they had found.

After leaving the game reserve we all agreed that we couldn't imagine anything better but I will tell you that Johannesburg turned out to be a great surprise.  We visited the homes of Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela as well as the Apartheid Museum.

Our last stop was Victoria Falls.  The resort we stayed at here was amazing as were all the other hotels we stayed in.  This one had monkeys, warthogs and kudos roaming freely on the hotel grounds and some monkeys even ventured onto our balconies. We cruised on the Zambezi River and saw lots of hippos, elephant swimming and a variety of birds.  The river cruise was at sunset and the scenery was spectacular.  The next day we visited the falls and walked the length of the falls to experience all of it.  We were there during their spring so not all of the falls had water running down them but our guide advised that this was a good thing because we could actually see the falls.  She told us when all the falls have water running down them you really can't see them because there is so much sea smoke.

I would highly recommend this tour to anyone it was SPECTACULAR!!!
